San Rafael High School
Class of 1973 |
Welcome
to the Class of 73 website!
This is YOUR site, run by YOUR classmates!
Your website has many interesting features
for you to look through, reminisce about, and enjoy.
If you are thinking about organizing our next reunion, please consider this:
This Class of 73 website is fully paid for. The photo storage space is currently quite large with room to spare, and more photo storage can be added for a small cost, if even needed.
The website offers a wide variety of pages and features which can support a reunion; plenty more pages and content can easily be added.
The website has a mass e-mailer function that is pretty good, probaby better than any others. Organizing various audiences for mass e-mails is fairly easy, and the website administrators have full control of that. The website can be used to send e-mails and collect responses from select groups like sub-committees. Reunion planners will have full control over all aspects of these mass e-mails.
The website can send fancy e-mails with humerous artwork and varieties of attracting features, but these would need to be built seperately, then uploaded for the "send." The current website guru has several files of reunion artwork, samples of message wording, and draft e-mails from the 50th Reunion.
This website can add a ticket sale module at no up-front cost. The cost per ticket for collecting the money and transferring it to a Reunion bank account is a percentage (approx 7% at time of this writing) of the ticket price which would need to be added into overalll published ticket cost, as that fee gets deducted from the proceeds forwarded. This percentage is a competitive charge; most such services have a larger take, but some can be had at a lesser cost. Even some seperate credit card applications can be purchased which offer a slightly lower percentage take, but this can get very cumbersome to set-up, use, and relate to the Reunion planning. Reunion planners can also use money transfer features like Zelle, or checks, yet the website feature is not botherd by this doing of some sales seperately.
The website has a donations collecting module.
The website can collect money from sales of Reunion related items which can be fully described here-in, or it can help with other fundraisers.
The website can be used to formally Survey classmates on a wide variety of topics, from possible reunion features, meal choices, music preferences, extra events, to personal history/preferences.
The website can be used to announce, track, and somewhat organize seperate Reunion events, such as meeting at a Bowling alley two days prior, or a beach-side picnic the day after.
Classmate mailing addresses and telephone numbers are kept in a seperate secure file. This file can be used to create tailored phoning lists or use mail-merge functions to send out postcards or flyers. That listing can be released to a valid future Reunion planning committee, per the guidlelines used by the SRHS Alumni Association. The Alumni Assn also has this information, but it is not in as usable format.
The website has a large enough hit-count that missing classmates can find us without specific action on your part, as several classmates have. The website is always working for you at locating classmates, even though many of them just "lurk" here.
The website does not provide/allow direct web links (security feature), but there are ways to convey that information inside for viewers to act on.
The website does not support videos.
If you think of any other feature or website capability you wonder about, please ask; there is much more not mentioned.
