12/10/1955 – 4/27/2021 -- Christa Ann Resing Colardo passed peacefully and surrounded by family in her San Anselmo, CA home after a year-long battle with cancer; she was 65 years old. Christa was born in Fort Thomas, KY; the oldest of five children. After getting her Bachelor's degree from Sonoma State University, Christa spent many years working as a news and documentary producer. During her time at KPIX-TV she met her husband Paul, working together on Evening Magazine. They believed the ability to make each other laugh was their secret to a loving and successful marriage. Christa and her family spent quality time together on many family vacations to their favorite locations: Maui, Lake Tahoe, and Stinson Beach. Eventually, Christa changed careers and went to culinary school. She had always been a good cook but now became a great chef. Christa also discovered a new passion teaching ESL to some of her employees before their shifts. She enjoyed this so much that she became a volunteer ESL teacher with the Canal Alliance in San Rafael. It was clear that her students loved her. Christa was tenacious, kind, intelligent, genuine, hard-working, accepting, generous, forgiving, and inspiring. Christa had an innate ability to help you see the good in yourself. Christa is survived by her husband Paul, married for 40 years, and her children Mia, Dominic, and Angela, all adopted at birth in '89, '92, and '96 respectively.
