7/9/1954 – 9/30/2009 William Stuart “Sparky” Steele, age 55, passed away in an auto accident in Oceanside, OR; he was 55.  Sparky is survived by his longtime companion, Krissi Weitman of Oceanside.  He served in the Army from 1973 to 1976, stationed in Germany.  Sparky worked mostly in metal fabrication, living in Seattle, then San Rafael.  He moved to Oceanside, OR, in 1994 and worked several jobs, including some carpentry and landscaping.  Sparky was a volunteer for the Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding Network through Oregon State University and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for the North Coast.
